Rekik has a decade of experience in renewable energy and has managed projects for solar micro, mini-grid, and improved cook-stove. In 2021, she was named Influential Woman of the Year by the Ethiopian Women in Energy Network and serves as a Bard Member of the Ethiopian Solar Energy Development Association.
