Green Scene Energy PLC was established in October 2016 by CEO Rekik Bekele to expand access to affordable clean energy for off-grid Ethiopian communities.
Operations began in 2017 with a focus on the import and distribution of Sun King and BioLite solar lanterns and solar home systems in the three largest Ethiopian regions: Oromia, Amhara, and the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples’ Region (SNNPR).
Green Scene’s future vision includes both expanding provision of high quality retail products and implementation of large-scale, customized institutional solar-powered systems and community mini-grids.
