Green Scene Energy is a licensed engineering and energy consultancy (Consultancy Licence No. YK/AA/14/672/4899283/2013) with a rare advantage: we build what we recommend. Our advice is grounded in the field experience of a company that has taken solar mini-grids, water pumping systems and institutional power plants from feasibility study through construction to commercial operation. When we tell a client what a system will cost, how it will perform and where it will fail, it is because we have built and operated that system ourselves.
We only design what we would be willing to build, and we only recommend what we have seen work in the field.

- Training and capacity building, including a workforce development programme under the Skills Challenge Fund with the Ministry of Labour and Skills and KfW that has trained more than 160 solar professionals

Our consultancy clients and partners include international development programmes, NGOs, research institutes and private developers: GIZ Energising Development (EnDev), CLASP, Precise Consult, IWMI, ACTED, ADRA and the Pharo Foundation among them. We have conducted end-user demand assessments, technology pilots and impact studies across 8 regions of Ethiopia, often in areas where no other data exists, and we hold a letter of support from the Ministry of Water and Energy for our mini-grid work.
