A decade of delivery, from the Somali Region to Gambella. Here is a selection of what our teams have engineered, installed, and commissioned across Ethiopia.
⚡ Rural Mini-Grids
Five solar mini-grids — 684.5 kWp — powering 4,200+ households and nearly 200 businesses. Delivered as executing subcontractor for 100% of site works under an EU-funded, GIZ/EnDev-implemented rural electrification programme, including powerhouse construction at each site. Communities that had never had electricity now run mills, shops, and cold storage on Ethiopian sunshine.
🏥 Healthcare Electrification
11+ health facilities powered — including solar systems for children’s operating rooms with KidsOR, the Assosa medical diagnostic laboratory, hospital backup systems engineered for zero downtime, and vaccine cold chains. Where power failure costs lives, our redundancy-first engineering keeps the lights — and the equipment — on.
🏛️ Diplomatic Missions
Nearly 60 kWp of solar and 94 kWh of storage across diplomatic facilities in Addis Ababa — including the Royal Danish Embassy’s residences, the French Embassy, and the New Zealand Embassy. “Green Scene Energy demonstrated professionalism and technical expertise. I would strongly and confidently recommend them.” — French Embassy.
✈️ Aviation Infrastructure
Gode Airport, Somali Region — 40 kWp solar with 150 kWh storage powering VHF and ADS-B air navigation infrastructure: mission-critical off-grid power where the national grid doesn’t reach and aircraft depend on uptime.
💧 Agriculture & Productive Use
300+ solar water pumping systems for smallholder irrigation — with Ethiopia’s first collateral-free solar pump loans, developed with CLASP and microfinance partners — plus solar-powered cold rooms, greenhouse power, and our TRANSFORM-backed solar spice processing pilot. → Water pumping program · Agrivoltaics & pumps
🏭 Manufacturing
Ethiopia’s first induction stove manufacturing facility — the TOLO line in Addis Ababa, producing around 200 stoves per day toward a target of 1 million by 2035. → Clean e-cooking
