Since 2016, Green Scene Energy has measured success in one currency: lives changed by reliable clean energy. A decade of off-grid delivery, eight consecutive profitable years and a fully Ethiopian team have produced impact that reaches every corner of the country.

- 5 rural mini-grids (684.5 kWp) powering 4,200+ households and nearly 200 businesses, funded by the European Union and implemented with GIZ/EnDev
- 11+ healthcare facilities electrified, from operating rooms to diagnostic laboratories
- 300+ solar water pumps delivered to smallholder farmers, including Ethiopia’s first collateral-free solar pump loans
- 30,000+ tonnes of CO₂ offset
- 160+ people trained in solar energy and clean cooking: university students, TVET technicians and refugee communities
- 70+ jobs sustained by a fully Ethiopian technical team, with new manufacturing jobs growing at our TOLO induction stove facility

How we create impact
- Energy access. Mini-grids, solar home systems and institutional power for communities the grid has not reached.
- Health. Reliable electricity for hospitals, operating rooms and cold chains, where downtime costs lives.
- Livelihoods. Solar water pumping, agro-processing and clean cooking technologies that turn energy into income.
- Skills and jobs. Training programmes and local manufacturing that build Ethiopia’s clean energy workforce, backed by the Ethiopia Jobs Challenge Fund (MoLS/KfW) and the TRANSFORM programme (Unilever, FCDO, EY).
