Green Scene Energy Selected to Pitch at the African Union Commission SME Forum in Abidjan

Green Scene Energy is proud to represent Ethiopian clean-tech manufacturing this week in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, at the African Union Commission (AUC) SME Forum, held alongside the Joint 9th AU Specialized Technical Committee (STC) on Finance and the 5th STC on Trade, Industry, and Minerals.

Under the theme “Financing Africa’s Industrialization for Sustainable Development,” Green Scene Energy was selected to pitch its local manufacturing model and hybrid energy solutions directly to African Ministers, development financiers, and senior AU officials.

Our message on the continental stage is simple: localized clean-tech manufacturing — like our TOLO induction stove facility in Addis Ababa, targeting 1 million stoves by 2035 — is a direct, working answer to the call for financing Africa’s industrialization. Every assembly line built at home creates skilled jobs, keeps value on the continent, and accelerates the clean energy transition from within.

The forum caps a season of expanding international engagement for Green Scene Energy, following our participation in a formal business delegation to Germany focused on technology transfer and manufacturing partnerships, and our founder’s selection as a finalist for the LinkedIn Changemaker Awards Ethiopia 2026.
